Church News Opener – Cottonwood

Intro animation for the weekly church news at a church that I worked for about two years ago. The opener was featured for nearly two years in the church’s video announcements.

Conceived, designed, and built by GMVFX in After Effects with Riot Gear and Magic Bullet.

Real Women “Better Together” Promo

Promotional spot I created about a year ago for a women’s ministry conference in California.

Artwork, photos, music, and copy were provided by client. All animation, editing, and effects by GMVFX,

Ben’s Birthday #2

Personal production shot on my nephew Ben’s second birthday party late last year. All videography, post, and graphics by GMVFX.

Hillview Acres Fundraiser

Promotional piece meant to be used as a fundraising tool by a home for troubled and abused children. The piece was ultimately rejected by the client due to the dark tone of the video and music selections. The piece was ultimately handed over to a different editor and this version abandoned.

The images of writing on brick walls are actual statements written by a girl in the facility all over her dorm room walls one night while in a manic state. Photos of the statements were provided by the client.

All of the children in the video are actors, we were not allowed to show any actual residents. The staff members, however, are the actual staff of the facility.

Music is by Joy Division and New Order and all copyrights are held by each group.

Video, producing, and direction by Windsock Films. Editing, graphics, etc. by GMVFX.

Live From The Valley Promo

Promo I built for a concert. Heavily based on a printed poster for the event. All animation by me.

Images, music, and footage provided by client. Effects, animation, and re-creation of text/logos by me in After Effects. Final composition and music added in Final Cut.

Citrus Craft Fair Flyer

This was a commissioned piece promoting a fundraising crafts fair in Upland, CA. The client is a long-time friend of mine.

The specs stated that the flyer needed to have a contemporary feel that would emphasize the craft aspect of the event with a design that would appeal to both mothers and children.

All layout and design work is by me. The MommysCraftySide.com logo was provided by the client.

Are You Transparent?

A short video effect test created for the promotional materials for a women’s conference. The concept was rejected, but it is still one of my favorite effects.

I would like to point out that the effect includes a moving “live” camera to give the video a more natural feel.

Dash – “Drop The World”

Incomplete music video project co-produced with Shawn King of Move.One.Films in Los Angeles, CA.

Concept, pre-production, and direction by Move.One.Films. Videography, video edit, post effects by GMVFX.
